The 9th China Maritime Finance Law Seminar was held in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, on April 22, 2026. Dr. LI Hu, China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) Vice Chairman and Secretary General, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

Dr. Li pointed out that CMAC has participated in the seminar for eight consecutive years and has witnessed the growth of the Dongjiang Shipping Finance Cluster. In recent years, CMAC has continuously pushed forward institutional and rule innovation alongside practical service initiatives, providing strong support for enterprises to conduct compliant ship finance leasing and mitigate associated risks. CMAC has also deepened cooperation with the Tianjin Maritime Court to explore integrated linkage mechanisms among arbitration, mediation and litigation, jointly providing diversified dispute resolution options for market entities. Going forward, CMAC will capitalize on its institutional strengths, deepen innovative practices, optimize service mechanisms, and strengthen coordination with the Administrative Committee of Tianjin Dongjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Tianjin Maritime Court, and the broader shipping community. CMAC will also leverage the rule of law to underpin innovations in shipping finance and provide specialized services to support high-quality industrial development with professional services.
