On March 27, the Seventh High-level Seminar on China Maritime Finance Law, as an important part of the Fourth China (Dongjiang) Shipping Industry Week and the Eighth China Maritime Finance (Dongjiang) International Forum was successfully held in Tianjin Binhai New Area, which was jointly organized by Tianjin Dongjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee and Tianjin Maritime Court of PRC. China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) participated in this Seminar as a supporting organization and Dr. Chen Bo, Deputy Secretary General of CMAC, delivered her speech at the opening ceremony.
Over 63 organizations attended this Seminar, including CMAC, Tianjin High People’s Court, maritime courts of Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, Ningbo, Xiamen, Haikou and Beihai, Tianjin Free Trade Zone People’s Court, Tianjin Maritime Bureau, Dalian Maritime University, National Maritime Information Center, Export-Import Bank of China, as well as leasing companies, shipping companies, well-known law firms and Liberian registries, etc. During the Seminar, 103 participants focused on the latest hot topics in maritime finance law under the new situation, covering procedural law, substantive law, risk mitigation, “EU ETS” and other issues.
