December 18, 2024, the 7th "Belt and Road" High-Level Dialogue on International Commercial Arbitration, which was co-hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the ICC International Court of Arbitration, CMAC and CCPIT, was held in Xiamen. Yu pointed out that international commercial arbitration provides an efficient and fair approach for enterprises to resolve disputes and is an important underpinning for international legal cooperation. He expressed the hope that all parties would advance the building of an arbitration legal community at both regional and global levels under the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits; enhance arbitration transparency and facilitation to foster a stable international environment for trade and economic cooperation; and move faster towards the digital, internet-based and smart development of arbitration to inject new impetus into international commercial arbitration.

Li Hu, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CMAC and Vice President of the Arbitration Committee of the China National Committee of ICC, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. He pointed out that in order to strengthen the construction of foreign-related rule of law and cultivate world-advanced arbitration institutions it is necessary to reinforce top-level design at the domestic level, promote the improvement of the arbitration system and the innovation of rules, and lay a solid legal foundation for the development of foreign-related arbitration. At the international level, it is essential to pragmatically promote regional multilateral cooperation, jointly maintain the order of international trade and investment, maintain the stability and smoothness of the global industrial supply chain, and strengthen the healthy development of the international economy.
